A turbo mixing paddle designed for the mechanical mixing of heavy building mortars, concrete, plaster and adhesives using electric drills and rotary hammers. The turbo profile increases mixing efficiency compared with standard designs.
The M14 thread is the most common fitting standard for mixing paddles in the drills and rotary hammers available on the European market. It provides a secure connection to the tool spindle and allows quick changes without additional tools. Before buying, check that your drill has an M14 threaded spindle or an adapter to this standard.
The 135 mm mixing diameter is a compromise between performance and the load placed on the drill motor. A paddle of this size is suitable for containers holding 20-40 litres. Smaller diameters (80-100 mm) take longer, while larger ones (160-180 mm) put more load on the motor and require more powerful tools.
The turbo design features angled blades that create a spiral flow as they rotate. The material moves from the bottom to the top of the container, which eliminates dead zones and cuts mixing time by 20-30% compared with straight paddles. Particularly effective with thick, dense mortars.
Made from structural steel, the paddle withstands the mechanical loads encountered when mixing highly viscous materials. Welded joints between the blades and the shaft prevent deformation during use. The surface resists abrasion from the aggregate particles contained in cement mortars.

Before buying, check the fitting type on your drill. The M14 thread comes as standard on most variable-speed drills rated 800-1200W. Rotary hammers often require an SDS-plus to M14 thread adapter. A 135 mm paddle requires a tool of at least 1000W for comfortable work with heavy mortars.
Before you start mixing, set the drill to a low speed (300-600 rpm). Immerse the paddle in the material before switching the tool on to avoid splashing. While working, move the paddle up and down through the full depth of the container. Avoid pressing the blades hard against the sides and base.
Clean the paddle immediately after use, before the mortar sets. Remove cement mortars mechanically with a scraper, then rinse with water. Dried concrete needs soaking in water or the use of chemical agents. Store the paddle in a dry place to prevent surface corrosion.
Recommended speed for a 135 mm paddle: 400-600 rpm for thin-bed mortars, 300-400 rpm for concrete and thick-bed mortars. Higher speeds cause excessive aeration of the mix and put more load on the motor. Mixing time depends on the material – typically 3-5 minutes to achieve a uniform consistency.
