Universal drill bit 10×200 mm — granite, metal, ceramics YT-439362 YATO

The YATO YT-439362 universal drill bit, 10 mm in diameter and 200 mm long, is designed for drilling into a wide range of construction and engineering materials — from granite and reinforced concrete, through metal and plastics, to ceramics and tiles. The special tip geometry allows both hammer and non-hammer drilling, which removes the need to change tools when switching between materials.

Key features

Special tip geometry

The shape of the cutting edge is designed for effective drilling in hard mineral materials (granite, concrete) as well as in metal and ceramics. The correct rake angle reduces the force needed to penetrate the material and limits the risk of the surface chipping.

Hammer and non-hammer drilling

The bit works with hammer drills when drilling concrete and stone, and with standard drills when working in metal, plastics and ceramics. A single accessory covers different types of machine and material.

Stable guidance

The design of the bit ensures even centring in the hole, which translates into drilling precision and reduces lateral vibration. This matters particularly when working in ceramics and tiles, where uncontrolled vibration can lead to the material cracking.

200 mm working length

The 200 mm length makes it possible to drill through holes through partition walls, thicker masonry elements and service penetrations through partitions. This is an important parameter when installing electrical and plumbing services and when anchoring components.

Applications

  • Drilling fixing holes in concrete and reinforced concrete
  • Drilling granite and hard stone materials
  • Drilling ceramics and glazed tiles without the risk of cracking
  • Drilling holes in steel and aluminium structures
  • Drilling plastics and composites
  • Service penetrations through partition walls and barriers
  • Anchoring holes for wall plugs and screws
  • Renovation and construction work requiring a change of material without changing the drill bit

How to choose the right drilling mode

When drilling into concrete, granite and reinforced concrete, use the hammer mode of the drill — the mechanical impact helps to break up hard aggregate. In ceramics, metal and plastics the hammer mode should be switched off, as the impacts can crack delicate surfaces or result in uneven drilling in metal. Most hammer drills have a mode selector — it is worth checking its setting before starting work.
