Technical characteristics
2Cr13 stainless steel
A martensitic steel with a chromium content of 12–14%, resistant to corrosion and holding a keen blade edge. The 2Cr13 designation indicates a chemical composition that balances hardness against rust resistance. The blades are suitable for cutting paper, fabric, film and synthetic materials.
Blade thickness 1.5 mm
A thickness of 1.5 mm gives the blade rigidity while maintaining cutting precision. This construction eliminates flexing when working with heavier materials, which translates into accuracy and control over the movement of the scissors.
PP/TPR handle
Polypropylene (PP) forms the rigid base of the handle, while thermoplastic rubber (TPR) creates a non-slip contact layer. This combination of materials provides a stable grip while dampening vibration and reducing hand fatigue during longer work.

Use and maintenance
Storage
Scissors should be stored in a dry place with the blades closed. Moisture can cause rust to form despite the use of stainless steel. After contact with adhesive or sticky materials, it is worth cleaning the blades with a solvent.
Sharpening
2Cr13 steel can be sharpened mechanically or by hand. Whetstones of 1000–3000 grit or professional scissors sharpeners are recommended. Regular sharpening extends the life of the tool and improves cutting quality.
Pivot screw adjustment
If the scissors start to chew the material instead of cutting it, it is worth checking the tension of the screw joining the blades. A joint that is too loose causes the blades to drift apart, while one that is too tight makes smooth cutting difficult and speeds up wear.
