Metal body
The metal construction provides stability when driving staples and resistance to mechanical damage during intensive use. The metal body eliminates the flexing found in plastic models, which translates into greater fastening precision.
Staple range 4-14 mm
The wide range of supported staple lengths allows work with materials of different thicknesses. 4-6 mm staples are used for thin fabrics and paper, 8-10 mm for standard upholstery materials, and 12-14 mm for thicker fabrics and fastening to hard wood.
Impact force adjustment
The mechanism that adjusts the tension on the striker spring lets you match the driving energy to the hardness of the base material and the delicacy of the fabric. Lower force protects thin fabrics from tearing, while higher force ensures the staple is driven fully into hard wood.
Type 140 staples (11.2 mm)
A staple width of 11.2 mm with 0.7 mm wire thickness is the standard designated as type 140 or G. Staples of this type are widely available and used in most upholstery and finishing work, making consumables easy to buy.

Choosing the right staple length
Staple length should be approximately 3 times the thickness of the material being fastened. For a single layer of upholstery fabric (around 2 mm), 6-8 mm staples are sufficient. When fastening thicker materials or several layers, use 10-14 mm staples to ensure proper anchoring in the base material.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, set the appropriate impact force - adjustment is made with a knob or screw on the body of the staple gun. When fastening delicate materials, it is advisable to test on a piece of scrap material to check that the staple does not tear the fabric.
Hold the staple gun perpendicular to the surface and press it firmly at the moment of impact. The angle affects how evenly both legs of the staple are driven in. The magazine usually holds one or two rows of staples - reload by flipping open the rear flap.
The striker mechanism requires periodic cleaning to remove wood dust and material residue. Moving parts can be lubricated with a drop of machine oil every few months of intensive use. A jammed mechanism is often the result of a bent staple - in that case, open the chamber and clear the obstruction.

The VOREL 71050 takes type 140 (G) staples with a width of 11.2 mm and wire thickness of 0.7 mm, in lengths of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 mm.
