An electrical device that eliminates flying insects using UV-A light and a high-voltage grid. Designed for indoor and outdoor use in residential and leisure areas.
Two fluorescent tubes emit ultraviolet light at 365 nm, which attracts flying insects from several metres away. UV-A waves are safe for humans and animals and cause neither burns nor skin damage.
The central metal grid carries an electric charge that instantly kills insects on contact. The outer guard grids prevent accidental contact with live conductive parts.
The bottom drawer collects dead insects, which makes the unit easy to keep clean. The tray slides out without dismantling the device and can be rinsed under running water. Emptying it regularly prevents odours from building up.
A metal chain is included so the lamp can be hung from a hook or beam. The design also allows direct mounting to a wall. Recommended installation height: 1.8–2.5 m above the ground.

Before first use, unpack the device and check that the tubes are correctly seated in their holders. The lamp can be placed on a stable surface or hung on the chain at a height of at least 1.8 m from the floor. Once plugged into a mains socket, the device starts automatically – no further configuration is required.
Before each cleaning, disconnect the lamp from the mains and wait 5 minutes for the grid to discharge completely. Empty the insect tray every 3–7 days, depending on how intensively the lamp is used. The grids and tubes can be cleaned with the supplied brush – removing dust and insects improves the lamp's attraction. The outer housing can be wiped with a damp cloth.
Ultraviolet tubes lose their effectiveness after around 3000–5000 hours of operation (approximately 1–2 seasons with intensive use). Signs of wear include weaker insect attraction despite the tubes still glowing correctly. Replacement requires unscrewing the housing and removing the tubes from their holders – use 10W replacements with a G13 cap and a UV-A spectrum.
The device is not intended for use by children under 8 years of age. Where small children are present, the lamp should be mounted at a height that prevents them from touching the grids. Do not immerse the device in water or use it in rooms with humidity above 80%. Position the lamp at least 2 m away from water sources (pools, fountains).
