A specialist tool set designed for the removal and fitting of timing belt tensioner rollers in VAG group engines. The kit contains 6 pieces matched to the tensioner designs used in Volkswagen and Audi petrol and diesel engines.
Each tool features a profile matched to the tensioner roller design in VAG engines. The precise reproduction of the housings prevents damage to aluminium and polymer components, which are susceptible to deformation when incorrect tools are used.
The set includes tools for servicing tensioner rollers in 1.4 TDI PD, 1.9 TDI PD and 2.5 V6 TDI engines. The tool design accounts for differences in the tensioning systems used in diesel units with an injection pump and in petrol engines with toothed belt camshaft drive.
Tools made from hardened tool steel retain their mechanical properties at the torques encountered during tensioner adjustment. The chrome coating provides protection against corrosion in workshop conditions, where tools are exposed to contact with operating fluids.
The six pieces in the set cover the range of sizes used in the most popular VAG engines from 1999-2015. This eliminates the need to select tools from different kits when changing a timing belt or servicing the drive system.

The YT-06275 tool set is designed for servicing the timing drive systems in the following models and engine variants:
Before purchase, check the engine code in the vehicle documentation or on the engine's identification plate. The PD (Pumpe-Düse) designation indicates a unit injector injection system, for which this set is intended. On engines with a Common Rail system, the tensioner design may differ.
Tensioner roller tools require correct use owing to their precise fit in the working housings. Before use, clean the working surface of the tensioner of dirt and oil residues, which can cause the tool to slip. Torque should be applied evenly, without impacts or jerking that could damage the housing in the tensioner body.
After use, clean the tools of dirt and protect them from moisture. Storing them in the original packaging or a workshop organiser prevents mechanical damage and makes it easier to identify the correct tool for subsequent service operations.
The tools are used when changing the timing belt, adjusting belt tension after replacement, removing the timing drive during engine repair, and checking the condition of tensioner rollers as part of scheduled servicing. The correct tool eliminates the risk of damaging threads and housings, which generates the cost of replacing the entire component.
