VOREL 03960 Tile Drill Guide for Ceramic Tiles
Suction-mounted drill guide designed for drilling holes in ceramic tiles, wall tiles and terracotta. It provides precise drill centring and prevents slipping when starting to drill on smooth surfaces.
Features of the drill guide
Two-sided drilling range
The guide offers two diameter ranges: 4-24 mm on one side and 25-84 mm when reversed. This removes the need for several guides for different hole sizes. Simply reverse the tool to match the diameter of the planned hole.
Suction mounting system
The suction cup holds the guide securely on smooth ceramic surfaces without the risk of damaging the tile. It allows work on vertical walls and horizontal surfaces. Before use, make sure the surface is clean and dry for optimum grip.
Precise drill centring
Four guide bearings keep the drill bit steady during work. The design minimises vibration and prevents the drill bit from wandering during the initial stage of drilling, when the risk of damaging the glaze is greatest.
Plastic body
The material resists mechanical damage while keeping the tool lightweight. The plastic does not react with the water used for wet drilling, which is standard practice when working with ceramic tiles.

Use and maintenance
Preparing for use
Before mounting the guide, clean the tile surface thoroughly of dust, grease and moisture. The suction cup needs a smooth, dry surface to work properly. Once the guide is in place, check that it is securely attached before starting to drill.
Drilling technique
Use diamond or carbide drill bits designed for this type of material to drill ceramic tiles. Drill at low speed with water cooling, which prevents the drill bit from overheating and the tile from cracking. The guide steadies the drill bit, especially during the critical initial stage.
Maintenance
After finishing work, clean the guide of ceramic dust and water. Keep the suction cup clean and check its condition before each use. A damaged suction cup will not provide adequate grip and should be replaced.
