The replacement cups are a consumable component of the Vorel tile levelling system. The pack contains 100 cups compatible with clips and wedges from the same manufacturer, so tiling work can continue without buying a complete starter kit.
The cups are designed for use with the clips and wedges of the Vorel levelling system. The dimensions and geometry of the component ensure a correct fit with the other parts, which keeps the joint width between the tiles consistent while the adhesive sets.
The cup acts as a spacer between the tiles and remains in the joints once the adhesive has set. The threaded upper section snaps off when the wedge is removed, while the lower part of the cup stays permanently beneath the surface of the tiling. This design removes the need to recover the component.
The pack contains 100 cups, enough to cover approximately 25-33 m² at the standard spacing of 30-40 cm. Actual consumption depends on the tile format and on how densely the levelling units are positioned across the working area.
The cups work with ceramic and porcelain tiles from 3 to 16 mm thick. The system is suitable for levelling floor and wall tiling, provided a suitable tile adhesive with thixotropic properties is used to stop the tiles from slipping.

The cup is placed under the edge of the tile immediately after the tile has been laid on the adhesive. A wedge is fitted onto the thread of the cup and tightened until the surfaces of the adjacent tiles are level. Once the adhesive has set (usually 24-48 hours), the upper section of the cup together with the wedge is snapped off with a hammer or a kick, in a direction parallel to the joint.
For tiles up to 30×30 cm, four cups per tile are recommended (one in each corner). For larger tiles, such as 60×60 cm, six to eight cups per tile are used. The greater number of support points prevents the tile from sagging while the adhesive sets and removes the risk of unevenness.
The cups are a consumable part of the system and need to be topped up regularly. On intensive tiling projects, a pack of 100 covers an area of 25-33 m². The wedges used in the Vorel system are reusable and do not need replacing as often as the cups.
