65Mn manganese steel blade
65Mn steel contains 0.62-0.70% carbon and 0.90-1.20% manganese, which gives a hardness of 58-62 HRC after hardening. These properties translate into long-lasting sharpness of the cutting edge and resistance to deformation when working with hard wood.
Clear handle with metal reinforcement
The handle is made of durable plastic with an internal metal core. The reinforcement prevents cracking when the chisel is struck with a mallet. The clear material allows visual inspection of the metal core and detection of any damage.
32 mm blade width
A width of 32 mm offers a compromise between precision and efficiency. A blade of this width is suitable for cutting standard-size hinge mortices, levelling surfaces, and jobs that require a wider cut in a single pass.
Polished blade edges
Polishing reduces the roughness of the blade's side faces, which cuts friction as the blade enters the material. The result is a cleaner cut with less risk of tearing wood fibres and easier control of the tool.
