A compact model-making block plane with a metal body, designed for precision finishing work in wood, plastics and soft materials. A workshop-grade tool with blade clamping adjustment.
The short sole gives greater manoeuvrability when working on small parts. Its 90 mm length allows precise control of the blade's cutting angle, which translates into greater accuracy in hard-to-reach places and on narrow work surfaces.
The metal construction keeps the tool geometrically stable during use. The metal sole eliminates distortion under pressure, which has a direct effect on consistent planing depth and on tool durability in workshop conditions.
A blade width of 26 mm is a compromise between stock removal rate and detail precision. This figure allows material to be removed efficiently while maintaining control of the planing process, particularly when working edges and faces 20-40 mm wide.
The clamping screw mechanism allows the blade projection and clamping force to be adjusted. This adjustment makes it possible to vary the shaving thickness from finishing cuts (0.1-0.2 mm) to roughing, which matters when working materials of differing hardness.

| Construction type | Mini model-making block plane |
| Adjustment system | Blade clamping screw |
Before starting work, check that the blade is secure and set the correct projection using the clamping screw. For hard materials a smaller blade projection is recommended (0.1-0.3 mm); for soft materials it can be increased to 0.5 mm. The metal body should be cleaned periodically of shavings and dust with a brush.
The blade needs regular sharpening with a 1000-3000 grit whetstone. The sharpening angle should be 25-30 degrees for wood and 20-25 degrees for plastics. A blunt blade causes tear-out instead of cutting cleanly and must be replaced or re-sharpened.
