The Vorel 27610 multi-purpose saw is a hand tool designed for precise cutting of various materials. The set contains 8 interchangeable blades, including universal blades for wood and metal and diamond blades for ceramics and glass, as well as glass cutting accessories.
The set contains 6 universal blades for cutting wood and metal and 2 diamond blades for ceramics and glass. Changing the blade lets you adapt the tool to the material being worked on, without the need for separate saws.
In addition to the blades, the set includes a glass cutting wheel and 2 scribers. This allows both straight cuts and the cutting of holes in glass or mirrors to be carried out, without buying any additional tools.
Blade length determines the maximum cutting depth. Blades 150-175 mm long allow material up to around 100-120 mm thick to be cut, which is sufficient for most household and workshop applications.
All the elements of the set are kept in a compartmented case. This prevents the smaller parts from being lost and makes the tools easier to transport. The case protects the blades from damage during storage.

Universal blades have teeth suited to cutting both wood and non-ferrous metals. They perform well in most typical workshop applications. The teeth are aggressive enough to cut wood quickly, yet fine enough not to damage soft metal.
Diamond blades are coated with a layer of diamond abrasive. They are designed for cutting hard and brittle materials such as ceramics, glass, stone and porcelain. Cutting is carried out by grinding the material away rather than by conventional sawing, which prevents the edges from cracking and chipping.
Before starting to cut, select the correct blade for the material. Universal blades are used for wood and soft metals, diamond blades for ceramics and glass. During cutting, guide the tool evenly, without applying excessive pressure, which could break the blade.
After finishing work, clean the blades of dust and debris. Storing them in the case protects them from moisture and mechanical damage. Worn or damaged blades should be replaced with new ones, keeping to the mounting system of the Vorel saw.
Cutting glass requires stable support of the material and even pressure. The glass cutting wheel should be guided along a ruler or template, making a single score. The glass is then broken along the score by applying light pressure from underneath. Always wear protective gloves and goggles.
