hi-tec Slotted Screwdriver 6.0 x 150 mm VOREL 61120
A precision screwdriver made from CrV chrome vanadium steel, designed for assembly work, repairs to electronic equipment and precision engineering. Model 61120 is fitted with a magnetised tip and an ergonomic plastic handle.
Technical features of the slotted screwdriver
CrV chrome vanadium steel
A steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium delivers hardness in the 50–58 HRC range while maintaining a flexible core. The material is corrosion resistant and minimises the risk of the blade edge chipping when working with hard screws.
Magnetised satin tip
The blade surface is shot-blasted and magnetised to hold screws while driving, which makes work in hard-to-reach places easier. The satin finish reduces the risk of slipping out of the screw slot.
Plastic handle
The ergonomic shape of the handle spreads the pressure over a larger area of the hand, reducing fatigue during prolonged work. The material resists the oils and solvents used in workshops.
Working dimensions 6 x 150 mm
The 6 mm blade width suits standard M4–M5 screws. The 150 mm overall length allows work in recesses and mounting holes up to 100 mm deep while keeping the handle accessible.

Choosing a screwdriver for the type of screw
How to check compatibility
A 6.0 mm blade width suits screws with a slot 5.5–6.5 mm wide. The blade should fill at least 75% of the slot width and sit flush against the bottom with no play. A blade that is too narrow damages the edges of the slot; one that is too wide scratches the surface around the screw.
Blade length and mounting depth
With an overall length of 150 mm, the working part of the blade is approximately 100 mm. This is an important factor when working in mounting recesses, electrical back boxes or holes in enclosures where access to a depth of 60–80 mm is required.
Tool maintenance
The screwdriver blade should be cleaned periodically of residual oil and dirt using a solvent. After working in a damp environment, wipe the blade with a dry cloth. The magnetisation of the tip lasts for the entire service life; if it weakens, it can be restored with a neodymium magnet.
The plastic handle is cleaned with water and detergent. Avoid contact with acetone and nitro thinners, which can damage the structure of the material. Storing at 5–40°C prevents the handle from becoming deformed.
