25 mm Phillips PH2 screwdriver bits are a workshop essential for driving and removing cross-head screws. The set contains 10 identical bits with a 1/4-inch shank, compatible with most cordless drills and powered screwdrivers.
PH2 Phillips bits fit cross-head screws with a diameter of 3.5-5 mm, which account for around 70% of all screws used in construction, furniture making and electronics. This size is the standard for most assembly work.
25 mm bits provide sufficient reach for standard tasks while maintaining good control over the tool. The short design improves stability and precision when driving screws in hard-to-reach places.
The set contains ten identical bits, which eliminates downtime caused by bit wear during long assembly jobs. It also allows the bits to be rotated during intensive use.
The 6.35 mm (1/4") hexagonal shank is a universal standard that fits quick-change chucks in cordless drills and powered screwdrivers, as well as the magnetic bit holders available on the market.

A PH2 bit is designed for Phillips cross-head screws with a diameter of 3.5-5 mm. Check that the bit seats across the full depth of the recess without any play - a bit that is too small (PH1) will spin, while one that is too large (PH3) will not seat to full depth. A correctly matched bit sits against all four arms of the cross recess.
Screwdriver bits need to be used correctly to stay serviceable for longer. During work, press the drill perpendicular to the screw with sufficient force - too little pressure causes the bit to slip and damages its flutes.
Setting the correct torque on the drill prevents overloading the bit. For screws driven into wood the torque should be 5-8 Nm, and for metal profiles 8-12 Nm. Check the condition of the tip regularly - rounded or chipped bit flutes cause slipping and damage to screws.
After work, clean the bits of dust and swarf. Storing them in a dry place prevents corrosion. With intensive use it is worth rotating the bits in the set so that wear is distributed evenly.
