A cable reel extension lead with a 30-metre rubber cable, fitted with 4 earthed sockets. The reel design allows for convenient storage and quick cable deployment. The 3x1mm² cable cross-section provides a safe power supply for appliances drawing up to 2300W (coiled) or 3680W (fully unwound).
A 30-metre reach allows appliances to be powered at a distance from the mains supply, which proves useful when working in large rooms, gardens or on building sites. The long cable removes the need for additional extension leads.
A 3x1mm² cable is rated for loads of up to 10A (2300W when coiled). Once the cable is fully unwound from the reel, the permissible load rises to 16A (3680W), owing to improved heat dissipation.
Schuko sockets with an earth pin provide a safe connection for appliances requiring protective earthing. Four power points allow several appliances to run at the same time without having to swap plugs.
The reel with an ergonomic handle makes the extension lead easier to carry and protects the cable from mechanical damage during storage. The winding mechanism allows the cable to be tidied away quickly once the job is done.
When working with appliances drawing more than 2300W, the cable must be fully unwound from the reel. A coiled cable builds up heat, which can overheat the insulation and damage the extension lead. Always check the maximum load before connecting appliances.

Before first use, check the condition of the cable insulation and that all sockets work correctly. When working with appliances drawing more than 2300W, the cable must be fully unwound from the reel to prevent overheating.
The rubber cable insulation is resistant to weather conditions, which allows the extension reel to be used outdoors. Even so, the unit should not be exposed to direct contact with water – the sockets do not have an IP rating that would allow use in wet conditions.
Once the job is finished, clean any dirt off the cable and wind it evenly onto the reel, avoiding excessive tension on the cable. Store the extension reel in a dry place, away from heat sources and sharp edges that could damage the insulation.
Regularly check the condition of the plug, sockets and cable. If you notice cracks in the insulation, a melted socket housing or any other mechanical damage, stop using the extension reel until it has been repaired or replaced.
