VOREL 74502 impact-resistant safety glasses
Safety glasses designed to protect the eyes from solid particles during the mechanical working of metal, wood and plastics. The model complies with EN166 and offers optical class 1, providing suitable protection in workshop conditions.

Optical class 1
The highest optical class under EN166, meaning minimal image distortion. The glasses can be worn for extended periods without eye strain, which is important for precision work.
Class S impact resistance
The lenses withstand impact from particles weighing 43 g travelling at 5.1 m/s. This parameter defines resistance to the chips produced when grinding, cutting and drilling hard materials.
Adjustable temples

The EN166 standard sets out the requirements for safety glasses used in industrial environments. Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check the condition of the lenses – scratches and cracks reduce protection and can cause distorted vision. Clean the lenses with a soft microfibre cloth, avoiding abrasive materials that could scratch them.
Temple length is adjusted by sliding the adjustment pieces until the glasses sit securely on the head. The glasses should fit closely to the face without pressing on the temples. When working in a dusty environment, it is worth attaching a cord as well to prevent the glasses from slipping.
After work, store the glasses in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Glasses with visible mechanical damage to the lenses or frame should be replaced, as they lose their protective properties.
When to replace safety glasses
Replace the glasses when the lenses are scratched to the extent that vision is impaired, when the frame is cracked or deformed, or when the adjustment mechanism no longer works properly. Damaged glasses do not provide adequate protection and may pose a hazard during work.
