Paper masking tape for masking surfaces during painting, plastering and finishing work inside and outside buildings. A VOREL product in a 25 mm × 50 m format.
Features of the paper masking tape
Heat resistance up to 60°C
This parameter defines the maximum temperature at which the tape retains its adhesive properties without deforming. A rating of 60°C allows use in standard painting and plastering work, including when painting with fast-drying paints and in heated rooms.
UV resistance up to 14 days
The time for which the tape can remain on a surface exposed to sunlight without losing adhesion and the ability to be removed cleanly. A period of 14 days is enough to complete typical façade work and to paint windows and doors on the exterior side.
Paper backing
The tape's backing, made from crepe paper, provides flexibility and allows it to conform to uneven surfaces. The structure of the paper allows the tape to be torn by hand without scissors and leaves sharp paint lines with no paint bleed.
Solvent-based acrylic adhesive
The adhesive layer provides immediate grip on most building surfaces. When the tape is removed, it leaves no adhesive residue and does not damage paint finishes, which matters when working on window and door joinery.

Use and care
Surface preparation
The surface to be taped should be clean, dry and degreased. Dust, moisture or residues of cleaning agents reduce the adhesion of the adhesive. The substrate temperature at the time of application should be at least 10°C.
Applying the tape
Apply the tape with slight tension, pressing it down with your fingers or a smooth scraper. When masking straight lines, it is worth using a spirit level or a batten as a guide. Paper tape can be torn by hand without scissors.
Time left on the surface
Remove the tape as soon as possible after finishing work — with emulsion paints, 1–2 hours after applying the last coat, while the coating is still slightly damp. Leaving the tape in place for longer than 14 days on sun-exposed surfaces may make it difficult to remove.
Removing the tape
Pull the tape off slowly at an angle of around 45 degrees to the surface. Pulling it off too quickly may damage fresh paint. For lacquering work, remove the tape before the lacquer has fully dried to avoid the coating flaking off.
