Braided polypropylene tow rope with a 1450 kg load capacity, fitted with hooks featuring safety catches. The 4-metre length provides a safe distance between vehicles during towing. The product is certified to standard WT/008/PIMOT/18.
This parameter defines the maximum force the rope can withstand without being damaged. A value of 1450 kg means that vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 1500 kg can be towed. The daN (decanewton) is a unit of force used in European standards – 1200 daN corresponds to a load of approximately 1450 kg under static conditions.
Polypropylene fibres braided into a multi-strand structure provide flexibility and resistance to abrasion. This material is characterised by its low weight and its resistance to moisture and UV. The braided structure distributes the load evenly across the entire length of the rope, reducing the risk of failure at a single point.
Metal hooks fitted with a catch that prevents accidental release during towing. The locking mechanism keeps the hook closed even when the rope tension varies. The design of the hooks allows quick attachment to standard towing points on cars and vans.
A length that complies with road traffic regulations and ensures a safe distance between vehicles. The 4-metre length gives the driver of the towed vehicle enough time to react to the manoeuvres of the towing vehicle. A rope that is too short increases the risk of collision, while one that is too long makes the towed vehicle harder to control.

Before using the rope, check the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle to be towed – it must not exceed 1500 kg. The GVW is shown on the vehicle registration certificate in field F.2. You should also make sure that both vehicles have approved towing points (towing eyes or hooks) capable of withstanding the load.
Check the condition of the rope before every use – there should be no abrasion, damage to the fibres or cracks in the hooks. Attach the rope to the towing points on both vehicles, making sure that the hook catches are closed. While towing, keep the rope under constant tension and avoid jerking or sudden pulling away.
After use, clean the rope of sand, mud and road salt, then dry it at room temperature away from heat sources. Storing it in a dry place away from direct sunlight extends the service life of the product. Never use a rope that is damaged or shows visible abrasion or weakened fibres.
The certification mark issued by the Automotive Industry Institute (PIMOT), confirming that the product meets the technical and safety requirements for towing accessories. The certification covers strength testing, material testing and verification of operating parameters.
