A passive welding helmet with a viewing window, designed to protect the face, eyes and neck during welding and grinding work. It is fitted with two independent filters with different shade levels.
The main DIN 10 filter protects the eyes during welding, while the additional DIN 5 viewing window lets you observe the work area without removing the helmet. This makes positioning components and checking weld quality easier.
A DIN 10 filter is suitable for manual metal arc welding up to 200 A, as well as MIG/MAG and TIG welding. This value defines the level of light transmission – the higher the number, the darker the filter and the greater the protection against intense arc light.
The DIN 5 viewing window lets you grind, clean welds and prepare components without removing the helmet. It speeds up work and improves safety.
The helmet operates without a power supply – the filters have a fixed shade. It works well in workshop conditions where components of similar thickness are welded and similar current settings are used.

The DIN shade level is selected according to the welding method and current. DIN 10 is a universal choice for most workshop applications – MMA welding at 60–200 A, MIG/MAG at 60–160 A and TIG at 50–150 A. For higher currents, DIN 11–13 filters are recommended.
Before starting work, check the condition of the filters – make sure they are not scratched or cracked. Damaged welding filters do not provide adequate protection against UV and IR radiation. The filters can be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth – avoid chemical agents that may damage the protective coating.
Store the helmet in a dry place, away from heat sources. Regularly checking the mountings and straps ensures it stays securely on the head during work. With intensive use, the filters should be replaced every 6–12 months, or sooner if signs of wear are visible.
