An attachment that lets you cut chases for services in plaster and lightweight masonry using a standard drill with a 43 mm Euronorm mount.
The 43 mm Euronorm mount is a standard fitting on hammer drills and combi hammers. Before buying, check the mount on your tool – the collar must be exactly 43 mm in diameter and have the characteristic locating slots.
The cutting tip is made from tungsten carbide, which keeps it durable when working in abrasive materials. The 12 mm diameter lets you cut chases for standard electrical installations – wide enough for cables and protective conduit.
The attachment is designed for plaster and lightweight construction bricks – materials of low hardness. It is not suitable for concrete, stone or solid clay bricks, which require a dedicated wall chaser.
A solution that lets you cut chases for services without buying a dedicated wall chaser. It works well for refurbishments and smaller installation jobs where the frequency of use does not justify investing in a specialist tool.

Before buying, make sure your drill has a 43 mm Euronorm mount. Standard drills with a keyless (three-jaw) chuck are not compatible with this attachment. The Euronorm mount is found mainly on hammer drills and combi hammers from professional tool brands.
Before starting work, check that the attachment is held firmly in the mount – any play can lead to inaccurate cutting and damage to the tool. When chasing, guide the drill evenly and avoid excessive pressure, which can overload the motor.
Once you have finished, clean any material residue off the cutter – this prevents corrosion of the carbide and keeps it ready for the next use. The attachment does not need lubrication, but checking the condition of the tip from time to time lets you assess wear and plan for a replacement.
