The KD546 is a twin-wheel bench grinder designed for grinding, sharpening and cleaning cutting tools and metal components. The machine runs both dry and wet, so the working method can be matched to the type of material and the finish required.

Two wheels in different sizes
The set includes a 150 x 20 x 12.7 mm wheel (grit 36) and a 200 x 40 x 20 mm wheel (grit 80). The smaller, coarser wheel is used for rapid material removal, while the larger one is used for finer finishing and sharpening cutting edges.
Wet and dry operation
Wet grinding (with water cooling) slows the heating of the workpiece, which matters when sharpening steel tools — excessive heat can alter the heat treatment and permanently reduce the hardness of the edge. Dry grinding is suitable for rapid grinding and cleaning of metal surfaces.
Aluminium guards and transparent eye shield
Wheel guards made from aluminium alloy are more durable than plastic equivalents and dissipate heat more effectively. The transparent eye shield protects against sparks and swarf without restricting visibility of the working area.
Stable bench-mounted design
