A specialist 16-piece set for fitting and removing wheel bearings and hubs on VAG group vehicles. A workshop tool that allows servicing without removing the suspension, with a built-in ball bearing that maintains the correct working angle.
The heavy-duty ball bearing ensures a precise pressing angle during fitting and removal. This design eliminates lateral stress that could damage the bearing races or the hub bore.
The tool allows the bearing to be replaced with the suspension still fitted. This removes the need to undo the wishbone, track rod or shock absorber, cutting working time by around 40-60% compared with traditional methods.
The kit is matched to the bearing dimensions used on Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Škoda vehicles with 72 mm diameter bearings. It covers models from the 1990s generation through to current ones, including the popular Golf, Passat, A3, A4, Octavia and Leon ranges.
The kit contains fitting sleeves, pressure rings, forcing screws and a central adaptor. The range of component diameters allows work on the various front and rear hub variants used across the VAG group.

Before starting removal, select the sleeves and pressure rings that match the hub type. The forcing screw is wound centrally into the hub axis, then the adaptor and fitting sleeves are assembled. Tightening the screw pushes or presses the bearing out evenly.
The built-in ball bearing automatically compensates for slight axis deviations, ensuring perpendicular pressure against the bearing race. When fitting a new bearing, check that it is pressed in evenly — the bearing should go in without jamming, with light resistance along the full length of the bore.
After each use, clean dirt and grease from the puller components. Coat the threads of the forcing screws with a thin layer of copper grease; this prevents jamming and makes dismantling easier under high pressure. The ball bearing needs periodic re-greasing with multi-purpose grease.
The YT-25394 puller is designed for bearings with an outside diameter of 72 mm. Before buying, check the bearing dimension in the vehicle's technical documentation or measure the diameter of the hub bore. The tool works with press-fit bearings and is not intended for screw-in or bolt-mounted bearings.
In the VAG group, the 72 mm diameter is found on most models with a MacPherson front strut and a wishbone rear axle. This applies to both front-wheel-drive vehicles and those with quattro/4Motion. On sports models or those with R/RS packages, bearings of other dimensions may be fitted — dedicated kits are required in that case.
