A 170 mm wide flat paint brush with a blend of synthetic and natural fibres, designed for painting large surfaces and applying adhesives.
The wide brush covers large surfaces in less time. When painting walls or ceilings, the 170 mm width reduces the number of passes and speeds up the work. This format is standard for renovation and finishing work.
Combining synthetic and natural fibres strikes a balance between durability and absorption. The synthetic fibres provide resistance to solvents and help the brush hold its shape, while the natural fibres ensure good pick-up and even release of paint or adhesive.
The brush's construction allows it to be used with water-based, oil-based, acrylic and latex paints. It can also be used to apply wallpaper paste and grab adhesive over larger areas. It works on a range of surfaces: plaster, wood and plastics.
The wide flat brush is a broad, flat brush mounted on a wooden handle. The long handle ensures ergonomic working and allows painting from a distance, which is useful for ceilings and the upper sections of walls.

Before first use, rinse the brush in clean water or a suitable solvent to remove loose bristles. This prevents hairs being left on the painted surface. After rinsing, dry the brush and shake off any excess moisture.
After working with water-based paints, rinse the brush in warm soapy water until the water runs clean. After oil-based paints, use a suitable solvent (turpentine, white spirit). Once clean, always straighten the bristles and leave the brush to dry flat or hanging bristles-down.
During short breaks in painting, you can wrap the brush in cling film or place it in a sealed bag to stop the paint drying on the bristles. This works for breaks of up to a few hours. For longer breaks, always clean the brush.
