A specialist workshop tool for removing and installing wishbone bushes on Ford and Volvo vehicles without dismantling the complete wishbone. The kit is intended for models built from 2006/2007 onwards.
The tool is designed to press bushes out and in with the wishbone still fitted to the vehicle. This eliminates the time-consuming removal of the entire suspension component, cutting service time and reducing the risk of damaging threads and mounting points.
The kit includes guide sleeves and adapters geometrically matched to Ford and Volvo wishbone bushes. The concentricity of the components prevents skewing during pressing, which could damage the bush housing in the wishbone or the bush itself.
The material provides the mechanical strength needed to withstand pressing forces of several tonnes. Carbon steel holds its shape under load and does not deform plastically during repeated use.
Four working components stored in a dedicated carry case form a complete bush replacement system. The case protects the tools from mechanical damage and helps keep the workshop bench tidy.

Before purchase, check the suspension type on the specific vehicle. Ford Mondeo Mk IV, S-Max and Galaxy models from 2006-2007 may come with different suspension versions depending on engine and equipment. On AWD Volvo vehicles, the rear suspension layout may differ from FWD versions. Verification using the VIN number or a direct comparison of bush geometry ensures a correct fit.
The bush removal tool requires a workshop hydraulic press with sufficient force. Before starting work, clean dirt and corrosion from the bush housing in the wishbone. The tool's guide components should be lubricated with assembly grease, which helps with centring and reduces friction during pressing.
When installing a new bush, check the alignment at every stage of pressing. Introducing the bush unevenly can damage it or deform the housing. Once the operation is complete, check the bush's installation depth against the vehicle manufacturer's data.
Tool maintenance involves cleaning off dirt after every use and storing in a dry place. The steel components can be protected with a thin film of protective oil, which prevents surface corrosion. Regularly checking the condition of the threads and working surfaces allows wear to be detected before precision is lost.
