Auger bit designed for drilling holes in wood and wood-based materials. The hexagonal HEX 10.5 mm shank makes it compatible with drills and drivers fitted with a chuck.
The hexagonal shank shape prevents slipping during drilling, even under heavy load. It ensures a secure grip in the chucks of corded and cordless drills and drivers.
The 155 mm working section allows holes to be drilled in thick materials. The overall bit length is 230 mm, making it easier to reach awkward areas.
The spiral flute design clears chips from the hole, preventing the bit from jamming. The construction produces clean hole edges without splintering or delamination of the material.
The 22 mm diameter suits typical applications such as fitting furniture hardware, installing locks and routing electrical cables through timber components.

The bit requires a drill or driver with a chuck (keyless or keyed) of a suitable clamping range. The HEX 10.5 mm shank is compatible with most corded and cordless drills and impact drivers. Before purchasing, check the maximum chuck capacity of your tool – it should be at least 13 mm.
Before drilling, mark the drilling point and make a light indentation to prevent the bit from slipping. During use, a moderate rotational speed is recommended – too high a speed can overheat the cutting edge and scorch the wood.
After use, clean the bit of chips and dust. Periodic lubrication of the working section with machine oil extends tool life. The bit should be stored in a dry place, protected from mechanical damage to the cutting edge.
When drilling through holes, drill from both sides of the material or place a board on the exit side of the bit. This prevents the material from splintering at the hole edges and gives a clean finish.
