Twist drill bit with a 7 mm hex shank, designed for drilling holes in wood. The 155 mm working length allows deep holes to be drilled in solid wood, plywood and wood-based materials.
Technical features
7 mm hex shank
The hexagonal shank prevents slipping in the drill or driver chuck, even under heavy load. It provides a secure hold and full torque transfer. Compatible with jaw chucks and hex adapters.
Spiral cutting edge geometry
The spiral flutes clear chips from the hole while drilling, which prevents the bit from seizing. The cutting edge geometry ensures a clean hole entry and smooth walls without tearing the wood fibres.
155 mm working length
The effective drilling length is 155 mm, which allows deep holes to be drilled in thick timber components. The 230 mm overall length makes the bit easier to guide during work.
8 mm diameter
A universal diameter suitable for typical joinery and assembly applications. 8 mm holes are used for, among other things, wooden dowels, furniture screws and guides.

Tool requirements
The drill bit requires a drill or driver with a jaw chuck or a quick-release chuck that will accept a 7 mm hex shank. Most standard cordless drivers and corded drills accept this shank type. A hex-to-round shank adapter can also be used.
Drilling parameters
Recommended speed for softwood: 1500-2000 rpm, for hardwood: 1000-1500 rpm. When drilling deep holes, it is worth withdrawing the drill bit periodically to clear the chips. Applying excessive feed pressure may cause the drill bit to overheat and reduce the quality of the hole.
