YATO COMFY work dungarees made from brushed cotton with a fabric weight of 300 g/m². Category I protective clothing, intended for manual work, gardening and renovation.
Features of the YATO COMFY Work Dungarees
Reinforced 300 g/m² fabric
A fabric weight of 300 g/m² indicates the density of the cotton weave, which translates into resistance to scuffing and tearing. The brushed cotton feels soft to the touch while retaining its mechanical properties. Multiple rows of stitching at critical points reinforce the areas exposed to stress.
Nine-pocket working system
The pockets are arranged as follows: 2 rear, 3 side (including 1 with a flap and hook-and-loop fastening, plus a double pocket) and 2 chest pockets (one narrow and one wide with a zip). The zipped chest pocket keeps a phone and documents secure. The side pockets give quick access to hand tools.
Adjustable fit
Elasticated braces with adjustable length adapt the dungarees to the wearer's height. Waist buttons for adjusting the width allow the fit to be tailored (82-90 cm for size M). The elasticated waistband keeps the garment stable as you move.
Knee pad pockets with hook-and-loop fastening
Internal pockets with hook-and-loop fastening hold protective knee pads (available separately). A useful solution for kneeling work: tiling, gardening and installation. The hook-and-loop fastening makes it easy to remove the knee pads for cleaning.

Category I protection - what does it mean?
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Category I clothing protects against minimal risks that the wearer can identify for themselves. The dungarees shield everyday clothing from dirt and mechanical damage during manual work. They are not Category II or III personal protective equipment (for example, they do not protect against chemicals or high temperatures).
Choosing the right dungaree size
Size M is intended for wearers between 172 and 180 cm tall with a waist measurement of 82-90 cm. Before buying, measure your waist at its widest point and your height. The adjustable brace system allows the length to be tailored by a few centimetres. The button adjustment at the waist compensates for changes in girth of up to 8 cm within the stated range.
If you are shorter than 172 cm or taller than 180 cm, choose the next size down or up respectively. Legs that are too long can be turned up or shortened, but legs that are too short will restrict your freedom of movement when crouching at work.
Use and care
Brushed cotton should be washed at no more than 40°C, which prevents the fabric from shrinking. Wash the dungarees before first use to remove manufacturing residue and soften the fabric. The dark black and red colour hides dirt, but regular washing extends the life of the fabric.
Zip the zips before washing to protect them from damage in the drum. It is worth fastening the hook-and-loop strips in the knee pad pockets so they do not catch on other items of clothing. Tumble drying can speed up wear in the cotton, so natural drying is recommended.
Red reinforcing stitching
The red stitching acts as structural reinforcement, particularly along the pocket edges and where the braces are attached. It is also a visual feature of the COMFY range. The colour contrast makes it easier to check the condition of the seams in use.
