Features of the YATO PUNO Safety Shoe
Steel toe cap 200J/15kN
Withstands impacts of up to 200 joules and compression of up to 15 kilonewtons. These figures mean protection against falling objects weighing around 20 kg from a height of 1 metre and against compression equivalent to a load of around 1.5 tonnes.
SB category to EN 20345
The basic category of safety footwear with a protective toe cap. It meets the requirements of the European standard for safety footwear, providing mechanical protection for the toes without additional properties such as a penetration-resistant midsole or antistatic protection.
Full-grain leather upper
Full-grain leather is the outer layer of natural hide – abrasion-resistant, breathable and moulding to the shape of the foot. It provides a durable construction and comfort during prolonged use.

How to choose the right size of safety footwear
Safety footwear should be sized with around 1-1.5 cm of clearance in front of the toes. During work the foot naturally swells, and shoes that are too tight can cause discomfort and fatigue. Size 47 corresponds to an insole length of approximately 30.5-31 cm. Trying the footwear on with thicker work socks is recommended.
Care of safety footwear
Regular cleaning of the leather upper with a damp cloth removes dirt and extends the life of the material. After finishing work it is worth removing the insoles and airing the footwear at room temperature – avoid drying near heat sources, which can damage the leather and the sole. Periodic use of leather conditioning products increases resistance to moisture and dirt.
The PU/PU sole should be checked before each use – checking the tread depth and looking for cracks ensures that the slip-resistant properties are maintained. The footwear should be replaced when the toe cap becomes deformed after an impact or when the sole loses its grip.
