Safety boots in protection class S3 with a full-grain leather upper, steel toe cap and penetration-resistant midsole. Designed for work involving exposure to impact, punctures and contact with oil.
Features of YATO S3 safety boots
Steel toe cap with 200 J protection
Withstands impacts of up to 200 joules and compression loads of up to 15 kN. Complies with EN ISO 20345 for class SB. Protects the toes from falling objects weighing up to 20 kg dropped from a height of 1 metre.
Penetration-resistant midsole, 1100 N
Protects the sole of the foot from being pierced by sharp objects — nails, wire, metal fragments. Withstands a point load of up to 1100 newtons without penetration, which meets the standard for class P.
PU/PU outsole with SRC certification
The two-layer polyurethane construction provides resistance to oils and fuels. SRC certification means the outsole has passed slip resistance tests on ceramic tile with detergent and on steel with glycerine.
Heel energy absorption
The cushioning system reduces strain on the spine when walking on hard surfaces. It absorbs the energy of the heel striking the ground, which reduces fatigue during long hours of standing work.

Safety class S3 – what it means in practice
The S3 marking combines a number of requirements: the basic SB class (protective toe cap) + penetration-resistant midsole (P) + heel energy absorption (E) + upper resistant to water absorption (WRU). Footwear in this class is intended for work in environments with a risk of impact, punctures and contact with water or oil.

Use and care of safety footwear
Full-grain leather requires regular care – cleaning with a natural bristle brush and applying care products made for work footwear. After contact with water, dry the boots at room temperature, away from radiators. The insoles can be removed and aired after each work shift.
The PU/PU outsole retains its slip-resistant properties throughout its service life, but dirt should be removed from the tread regularly. The condition of the toe cap and penetration-resistant midsole should be checked every 3 months – if there are visible deformations or mechanical damage, the footwear must be replaced.
Choosing the right size of safety footwear
Size 41 corresponds to an insole length of approximately 26 cm. Safety footwear should be chosen with 1–1.5 cm of extra room beyond the length of the foot, so that there is space for a thicker sock and for the natural movement of the foot when walking. Before first use, it is worth breaking the boots in during a short work shift.
