Ratcheting Combination Spanners 10-19 mm, Set of 7, YATO YT-0208
A set of seven combination spanners with an integrated ratchet mechanism, intended for assembly and servicing work. Manufactured from CrV 6140 chrome vanadium steel with the AS-DRIVE profile, which increases torque and protects fasteners from damage.
Features of YATO ratcheting combination spanners
CrV 6140 chrome vanadium steel
A steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium for increased hardness and wear resistance. The material is corrosion resistant and retains its mechanical properties even under intensive use in workshop conditions.
AS-DRIVE system
A special internal profile in the ring end that transfers the tightening force to the flats of the nut rather than its corners. This increases torque by approximately 25% and minimises the risk of rounding off the edges of fasteners, particularly on rusted joints.
Integrated ratchet
The ratchet mechanism in the ring end allows tightening without removing the spanner from the nut. This is particularly useful in confined working spaces where a full turn of the spanner is not possible. The ratchet works in both directions once the spanner is turned over.
Size range 10-19 mm
The set covers the most common sizes used in automotive mechanics and assembly work. It contains spanners of 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 19 mm, which correspond to the standard bolt and nut sizes found in passenger cars and utility equipment.

How to check spanner size compatibility
The spanner size corresponds to the across-flats (AF) dimension of the bolt or nut, measured between opposite flat surfaces. Before buying, it is worth checking the sizes of the fasteners most commonly used in a given application. In European automotive mechanics, metric sizes in the 10-19 mm range predominate.
Use and maintenance of ratcheting spanners
Ratcheting combination spanners require periodic maintenance of the ratchet mechanism. After working in dusty conditions or in contact with lubricants, the mechanism should be cleaned of contaminants. Applying a small amount of penetrating oil to the ratchet mechanism at regular intervals is recommended, as this keeps it running smoothly.
When tightening, the spanner should be used as intended – the open end is for initial loosening or final tightening, while the ratcheting ring end is for work in confined spaces. The spanner handle must not be extended with pipes, nor should it be struck with a hammer, as this may damage the ratchet mechanism or cause the material to crack.
Storing the spanners in a dry place, away from sources of moisture, extends tool life and prevents surface corrosion. After working in a damp environment, the spanners should be wiped dry and lightly coated with an anti-corrosion preparation.
