Double-ended ring spanner with an offset design, made from chrome vanadium steel. A tool intended for mechanical work that requires access to fasteners in a confined working space.
A steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium increases hardness and wear resistance. This material retains its mechanical properties even under prolonged load, which prevents the ring heads from deforming when working on seized fasteners.
The offset angle allows work in places where a standard straight spanner does not provide enough room to manoeuvre. This design makes it possible to turn the spanner through a full rotation without having to lift the tool off the nut in a confined assembly space.
The internal profile of the ring transfers torque to the flat faces of the nut rather than to its corners. This reduces the risk of rounding the corners of fasteners, particularly when undoing corroded or over-tightened joints.
The smooth, polished surface of the heads reduces friction during use and makes dirt easier to remove. This finish also provides basic anti-corrosion protection, extending the service life of the tool in workshop conditions.

The 24 mm and 27 mm sizes correspond to the nuts used in medium-duty joints. Before buying, check the dimensions of the fasteners – the spanner size corresponds to the width across flats of the nut, measured between its parallel faces. If in doubt, use a Vernier calliper or an adjustable spanner to verify the required size.
When working with a ring spanner, make sure the ring fully encloses the nut – partial engagement can damage both the fastener and the tool. Pull the spanner rather than pushing it, as this gives you better control over the tool and reduces the risk of injury if the joint suddenly works loose.
After use, clean the tool of dirt and protect it from moisture. When working on components covered in grease or oil, wipe the spanner with a dry cloth. Storing it in a dry place prevents surface corrosion, which can affect how accurately the ring fits the nut.
Do not use extension bars or pipes fitted over the spanner to increase leverage – exceeding the permissible torque can permanently deform the tool. Where greater torque is required, use a torque wrench or a tool of a suitably larger size.
