YATO YT-282650 Extra Slim Insulated Screwdriver PH0 x 60 mm

Professional insulated screwdriver with a Philips PH0 tip and a 60 mm blade, designed for live working at voltages up to 1000 V. The Extra Slim range features tapered blade insulation, giving access to deeply recessed screws and tight installation spaces.

Tip typePhilips PH0
Blade length60 mm
Working voltageup to 1000 V
Tip materialS2 steel

Features of the Extra Slim insulated screwdriver

1000 V insulation

The blade is coated with an insulating layer tested in line with the safety standards for electrical work. The insulation protects the user against electric shock when working on installations live at up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC. The 1000 V marking confirms that the tool has passed dielectric testing.

Extra Slim design

Tapered blade insulation is the defining feature of the Extra Slim range. Standard insulated screwdrivers have insulation of a constant diameter, which prevents access to screws in deep recesses or narrow mounting holes. The tapered profile allows work in places where thicker insulation would block access to the screw head.

S2 steel tip

The chromium-vanadium S2 steel used for the tip has a hardness of 56-60 HRC after hardening. It provides resistance to wear and deformation during repeated use. The Philips PH0 tip is matched to the smallest cross-head screws, typical of electronics and precision electrical fittings.

Two-component PP + TPE handle

The handle core, made from polypropylene (PP), gives the construction its rigidity, while the outer layer of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) improves grip and dampens vibration. The combination of these materials stops the tool slipping in the hand, including when working in protective gloves.

Applications of the PH0 insulated screwdriver

  • Installing and removing electrical accessories in low-voltage installations
  • Work on live distribution boards, sockets and switches
  • Servicing electronic devices that require access to tight spaces
  • Maintenance of electrical installations in industrial machinery and equipment
  • Repair and fitting of components in vehicles (electrical systems)
  • Work on control panels and industrial automation equipment
  • Fitting components in enclosures with deep mounting recesses
  • Servicing domestic appliances that require insulated tools

PH0 size – when to use it

The Philips PH0 tip is the smallest size in the Phillips system, intended for screws with a diameter of 1.4-2.0 mm. It is used mainly in consumer electronics, compact electrical accessories and precision devices. Before buying, check the size of the screw head – using a larger tip (PH1, PH2) may damage the cross recess.

Use and maintenance

Check the condition of the blade insulation before every use. Cracks, scuffing or damage to the insulating layer disqualify the tool from live working. An insulated screwdriver is not a substitute for isolating the supply – wherever possible, electrical work should be carried out with the power disconnected.

After use, clean the screwdriver with a dry cloth. Do not use organic solvents, which may damage the insulating layer. Store it in a dry place, away from heat sources and sharp edges that could compromise the insulation.

Checking the condition of the tip regularly helps to avoid damaging screws. A worn or deformed tip loses its grip in the screw head recess, which leads to slipping and damage to the cross recess.

Safety standards for insulated tools

Insulated screwdrivers for live working must meet the requirements of IEC 60900 or the equivalent EN 60900. The standard sets out the requirements for insulation thickness, dielectric testing and marking. Certified tools should carry a marking of the maximum working voltage and the double insulation symbol.
