YATO YT-282651 Insulated Extra Slim Screwdriver PH1 x 80mm

A precision screwdriver with 1000V insulation, designed for work on live electrical installations. The extra slim construction with a hardened S2 tip allows access to deeply recessed screws in tight installation spaces.

Tip typePhillips PH1
Blade length80 mm
Insulationup to 1000V
Tip materialS2 steel

Technical features of the insulated screwdriver

Certified electrical insulation up to 1000V

The insulating coating meets safety standards for work on low-voltage installations. It protects against electric shock when fitting sockets, switches and distribution boards. The insulation covers the entire blade, leaving only the working tip exposed.

Extra Slim construction for hard-to-reach areas

The tapered blade profile with matching insulation allows work in deep mounting recesses and narrow gaps. Particularly useful when servicing electronic devices where standard screwdrivers will not fit between components. The insulation diameter is smaller than that of conventional insulated screwdrivers.

Hardened tip in S2 tool steel

S2 steel has a hardness of 58-62 HRC after hardening, which prevents the tip from deforming during intensive use. The tip retains its precise Phillips profile even after repeated use, minimising the risk of damaging screw heads. The material is resistant to abrasion and twisting.

Ergonomic PP+TPE handle

The two-component construction combines a rigid polypropylene core with a non-slip layer of thermoplastic elastomer. The TPE material provides a secure grip even in damp conditions and reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use. The handle profile is shaped to suit a natural grip.

  • Work on distribution boards and fuse boards
  • Servicing of consumer electronics and domestic appliances requiring access to deeply recessed screws
  • Repair of electronic equipment with closely spaced components
  • Installation of telecom equipment and low-voltage systems
  • Work inside machine housings and control panels
  • Maintenance of industrial automation equipment
  • Installation of alarm and CCTV systems

Phillips PH1 tip - range of applications

PH1 is the second smallest size on the Phillips scale, intended for screws of 2.5-3.5 mm in diameter. It is widely used in consumer electronics, electrical sockets, light switches and installation accessories. The cross-shaped Phillips profile provides better centring than flat tips and allows greater torque to be transferred.

How to check compatibility

The PH1 tip fits screws marked with the Phillips symbol with a single line (PH1), or most screws in electrical sockets and switches. If in doubt, check whether the tip sits in the screw recess without play - play means a larger size is needed (PH2), while a fit that is too tight requires a smaller one (PH0).

Safety when working with insulated screwdrivers

Insulation rated to 1000V AC means the screwdriver protects the user when working at voltages of up to 1000 volts alternating current. The condition of the insulation should be checked before every use - any cracks, chips or mechanical damage disqualify the tool from live working.

Insulated screwdrivers are not a substitute for isolating the power supply - in accordance with health and safety regulations, work on electrical installations should be carried out with the voltage switched off. The insulation provides additional protection in the event of accidental contact with live parts.

Maintenance of insulated tools

Avoid contact between the insulation and organic solvents, mineral oils and high temperatures above 70°C. After use, clean the screwdriver with a dry cloth. Store in a dry place, away from heat sources. Check the condition of the insulation regularly before use.
