A non-contact AC voltage tester with an LCD display for the safe detection of live voltage in the 12–1000 V AC range. The device features two-stage sensitivity adjustment, a cable continuity test and audible-visual indication.
Detection of AC voltage without the need for direct contact with the conductor. Simply bring the sensor close to the cable insulation, which eliminates the risk of electric shock when diagnosing electrical installations.
Clear reading of the voltage value in real time. The built-in LED backlight allows work in poorly lit rooms, distribution boards or technical spaces.
Low sensitivity mode for precisely locating a live conductor within a bundle of cables. High sensitivity mode for detecting voltage through thicker layers of insulation or at a greater distance from the source.
An inductive circuit continuity check without the need to connect test probes. It enables quick identification of broken conductors in an installation.
Detected voltage is signalled simultaneously on the LCD display, by an LED and by an audible signal. The redundancy of signals increases safety when working in noisy environments.
The device switches itself off after 3 minutes of inactivity, which extends the life of the AAA batteries. A low battery indicator warns that the power supply needs replacing.

The detector picks up the electromagnetic field generated by the alternating current flowing through a conductor. The inductive sensor responds to changes in the field without any need for contact with an uninsulated part of the conductor. This method works only for AC voltage – it does not detect DC voltage.
Before taking a measurement, check that the detector is working on a conductor of known voltage. Sensitivity adjustment allows the device to be matched to specific measuring conditions – the low sensitivity mode reduces false signals in environments with high electromagnetic interference.
When locating conductors in a wall, it is advisable to move the sensor parallel to the expected route of the cable. The strongest signal indicates the exact position of the live conductor. In the case of cable bundles, the low sensitivity mode enables precise identification of an individual conductor.
The device requires periodic replacement of the AAA batteries. A low battery indicator appears on the LCD display, signalling that the power supply needs replacing. Weak batteries may affect the accuracy of voltage detection and the range of the inductive sensor.
The detector senses the presence of voltage but does not measure its exact value as precisely as a multimeter. Thick layers of insulation, screened conductors or a large distance from the voltage source may reduce detection effectiveness. Where an accurate measurement of the voltage value is required, a multimeter with an AC measurement function is recommended.
