SDS Plus hammer drill bit with a 14 mm diameter and a 210 mm working length, designed for drilling into concrete, reinforced concrete and stone. Fitted with a four-cutter tungsten carbide tip and a spiral flute that clears dust as you drill.
Grinding reduces the coefficient of friction between the bit and the material, which limits heat build-up in the tool. This extends the working life of the bit and allows more holes to be drilled before the cutting edges lose their sharpness.
Four tungsten carbide cutting edges increase drilling efficiency in reinforced concrete. The additional cutters are able to cut through steel rebar without the need to change the tool, which speeds up work when installing services in structural walls.
The automatic brazing of the carbide tips ensures a uniform bond with the bit body. This method eliminates micro-cracks and increases resistance to thermal loads during intensive drilling in hard materials.
The tip geometry prevents the bit from wandering sideways when the hole is started. Stable guidance of the tool keeps the hole perpendicular to the surface, which matters when fitting chemical anchors and wall plugs.

The SDS Plus shank (10 mm diameter) is the standard used on light and medium-duty rotary hammers of up to 5 kg. Check your tool's manual to confirm that it accepts SDS Plus shanks. These bits do not fit the SDS Max chucks used on heavy demolition hammers.
Before starting work, check the condition of the carbide tip – damaged cutters reduce drilling efficiency and place excessive load on the rotary hammer's motor. Apply steady, moderate pressure while drilling – excessive force does not speed up the work and causes the tool to overheat.
After use, clean the flute of concrete dust with a brush or compressed air. Debris left in the guide flutes reduces the effectiveness of dust removal the next time the bit is used. Store the bits in a dry place, separate from other tools, to avoid mechanical damage to the tips.
The ground surface and wear-resistant carbide mean the bit keeps its nominal 14 mm diameter even after hundreds of holes have been drilled. This matters when fitting wall plugs – too large a hole tolerance reduces the load capacity of the fixing, while too small a hole makes the plug difficult to insert.
