A hole saw with a TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) cutting edge, designed for cutting 90 mm diameter holes in structural steel, stainless steel and plastics. Supplied with a 6 mm HSS4341 TIN pilot drill and a spring mechanism that makes removal of the cut material easier.
Tungsten carbide on the cutting edges delivers a service life many times longer than that of Bi-Metal hole saws. The hardness of the TCT tip allows cutting of materials up to 45 HRC, including hardened structural steel and reinforced plastics.
The centre drill made from HSS4341 high-speed steel with a TIN (titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance. The 6 mm diameter keeps the hole saw running steadily during work, minimising the risk of drifting off axis.
The hex shank eliminates slipping in the chuck of a drill or impact driver. Compatible with adapters fitted with a hex socket – check before purchase that your adapter is suitable for a 90 mm hole saw.
The spring mechanism automatically pushes out the cut slug once the cut is complete, which removes the need to extract the material from inside the hole saw by hand. It shortens working time when cutting multiple holes.
| Model | YT-44073 |
| Manufacturer | Yato |
| Hole saw diameter | 90 mm |
| Tip type | TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) |
| Pilot diameter | 6 mm |
| Pilot material | HSS4341 steel with TIN coating |

| Slug ejector | Yes (spring-loaded) |
| Intended use | Structural steel, stainless steel, plastics |
Recommended rotational speed: 80-150 rpm for steel and 200-400 rpm for plastics. Use emulsion or cutting oil cooling when cutting steel – it extends the life of the TCT tip and improves edge quality. Cooling is not necessary for plastics.
The hole saw requires an impact driver or a variable-speed drill and an adapter with a hex socket. Before purchase, check the maximum hole saw diameter supported by your adapter – a 90 mm hole saw must not be fitted to adapters designed for smaller diameters only.
After every use, remove swarf from inside the hole saw and clean any material residue off the TCT tips. Store in a dry place. Lubricate the pilot and the spring mechanism periodically with maintenance grease. Do not use the hole saw on materials harder than 45 HRC.
