An English pattern paint brush with mixed natural and synthetic bristles, designed for applying oil-based, emulsion and latex paints, as well as wood preservers and varnishes, to a wide range of surfaces.
The combination of natural bristle and synthetic filament delivers optimum working properties. The natural bristle holds the right amount of paint and releases it evenly, while the synthetic filament makes the brush more hard-wearing and springy, which is particularly important when working with water-based paints.
Beech is characterised by its hardness and resistance to deformation. The lacquered finish prevents moisture absorption and makes the brush easier to clean after use, extending the life of the tool.
The galvanised steel ferrule provides a durable bond between the bristles and the handle, and protects against corrosion when working with water-based materials. The ferrule design prevents bristle loss during use.
The distinctive shape of the English pattern brush allows precise painting of edges, corners and hard-to-reach areas. The wide working surface allows large flat areas to be covered efficiently.

Before the first use, remove any loose bristles by rubbing the brush vigorously against a rough surface. When using water-based paints, it is advisable to dampen the bristles before you start, which helps to spread the paint evenly.
After working with water-based paints, rinse the brush thoroughly in warm water with a mild detergent. With oil-based paints, suitable solvents must be used. Once cleaned, the bristles should be reshaped and left to dry in a hanging or horizontal position.
Brushes should be stored in a dry place, protected against bristle deformation. Leaving a brush immersed in solvent for a long period is not advisable, as this can damage both the bristles and the wooden handle.
