A segmented diamond blade designed for dry cutting of building materials. This model is fitted with segments made from grade A industrial diamond and cobalt, which ensure efficient cutting of concrete, brick and ceramic hollow blocks.
The greater segment height compared with standard 115 mm blades (typically 7-8 mm) translates into a longer service life. The larger amount of abrasive material allows more cuts to be made before the blade wears out.
The highest grade of synthetic diamond used in abrasive tools. It ensures efficient cutting of hard building materials while maintaining a stable working speed and keeping wear of the cutting edge to a minimum.
Cobalt acts as the bond in the diamond segment, increasing its hardness and resistance to abrasion. The optimum cobalt content provides a balance between durability and cutting performance.
The segmented design with gaps between the segments allows heat to dissipate during use without the need for water cooling. This eliminates the need for additional equipment and simplifies the cutting process on site.

| Compatibility | 115 mm angle grinders |
The 115 mm diamond blade fits angle grinders that take a 115 mm blade (commonly known as 4½-inch grinders). Before fitting, check the bore diameter of the blade and the spindle diameter of the grinder - this is normally 22.23 mm. The maximum rotational speed of the blade must be compatible with the grinder's specifications.
When using a diamond blade for dry cutting, make the cuts intermittently, allowing the segments to ventilate naturally and dissipate heat. Continuous cutting for too long can overheat the segments and reduce their performance.
Segmented blades have a reduced segment cross-section, which lowers the contact area with the material. This translates into faster cutting and less load on the grinder motor, and it also reduces chipping along the cut edges.
Blade wear shows as a reduction in segment height. Once the segment height drops to 2-3 mm, the blade loses efficiency and should be replaced. A diamond blade should always be used with personal protective equipment: goggles, a dust mask and ear defenders.
