A dual cartridge gun designed for the simultaneous application of two components from thick sealing compounds, two-part adhesives and silicones. The 3.5 mm steel plate construction with a die-cast aluminium thrust mechanism ensures stable operation with high-viscosity materials.
Technical features of the YATO cartridge gun
Dual cartridge system
The design accepts two standard 245 mm cartridges, allowing two components to be dispensed simultaneously. This solution is used with epoxy and polyurethane adhesives and other two-part compounds that require precise mixing.
Reinforced steel construction
The body is made from 3.5 mm steel plate, which provides rigidity when dispensing high-density compounds. The material thickness prevents the frame from flexing as the plunger is pressed forward, resulting in an even flow of material.
Die-cast aluminium thrust mechanism
The die-cast aluminium mechanism reduces the weight of the tool while maintaining its strength. The aluminium thrust components are corrosion-resistant and ensure smooth plunger movement even during prolonged use.
Triple steel plunger, 8 mm
The plunger is made from 8 mm diameter steel wire in a triple configuration, spreading the pressure over a larger area of the cartridge base. This prevents the cartridges from deforming and ensures even emptying of thick compounds.

Use and maintenance
Cartridge compatibility
The gun works with standard 245 mm dual cartridges. Before buying materials, check the cartridge length stated by the compound manufacturer. Cartridges shorter than 245 mm may require the use of spacer washers, while longer cartridges will not fit into the tool.
Automatic plunger lock
The locking mechanism prevents the plunger from retracting on its own once dispensing has finished. This function eliminates uncontrolled material flow when the lever is released, which increases application precision and reduces material waste. The lock is released by pressing a dedicated button or lever, depending on the design.
Maintenance after working with aggressive compounds
After working with adhesives and sealants that contain solvents, clean the thrust components and the plunger. Residues of hardened compound can obstruct the movement of the mechanism and cause uneven dispensing. Metal parts can be cleaned with acetone-based products, avoiding contact with corrosion-prone aluminium components.
