YATO YT-70638 White Plastic Cable Ties 700x9.0 mm
Cable ties made from PA66 polyamide, 700 mm long and 9.0 mm wide. Designed for organising cable bundles, securing wires and fastening components in electrical installations, workshops and around the home.
Technical characteristics of the cable ties
PA66 material (polyamide 6.6)
An engineering plastic characterised by high mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability. It retains its properties between -40°C and +85°C, which makes it suitable for use in a range of environmental conditions.
80 kg tensile strength
The parameter defining the maximum load the cable tie withstands before it breaks. A value of 80 kg allows heavy cable bundles and components requiring a secure fixing to be fastened safely.
Maximum bundle diameter 195 mm
The length of the tie allows cable bundles of up to 195 mm in diameter to be bundled. When selecting a tie, the actual bundle diameter should be taken into account – the tie should be tightened with the appropriate tension for a stable fixing.
Resistance to UV radiation
The modified polyamide compound ensures stability under ultraviolet radiation. The ties can be used in outdoor installations without the risk of rapid material degradation caused by sunlight.

How to choose a cable tie
When choosing a cable tie, the diameter of the cable bundle and the required load should be taken into account. The 700 mm length allows bundles with a circumference of up to approximately 195 mm (diameter ~62 mm) to be bundled. For smaller bundles, shorter ties are recommended, as they provide better tension and a more stable fixing. An 80 kg tensile strength is sufficient for most installation and workshop applications.
Use and installation
The locking mechanism of YATO cable ties works on the ratchet principle. The end of the tie should be inserted into the locking head and pulled around the cable bundle, then tightened until the required tension is reached. The mechanism locks the tie in one direction – it allows tightening but prevents loosening.
Once fitted, the excess length of the tie can be cut off with a knife or side cutters. Removing the tie requires cutting it – the mechanism does not allow it to be reopened. In installations requiring frequent modifications, releasable cable ties with a release mechanism are recommended.
Storage conditions
PA66 polyamide cable ties should be stored in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight. Despite their UV resistance, prolonged storage in conditions exposed to sunlight may affect the mechanical properties of the material. Storage temperature: -20°C to +60°C.
