YATO YT-73602 Clear Safety Glasses
Safety glasses with polycarbonate lenses in optical class 1, designed for mechanical work, grinding and drilling. The YT-73602 has a fit-over design that allows prescription glasses to be worn underneath, and is certified to EN 166.
Technical features of the safety glasses
Optical class 1
The highest optical class available means no image distortion and allows continuous wear during precision work. The lenses do not cause eye strain, even after many hours of use.
UV filter 2-1.2
The 2-1.2 marking indicates protection against UV radiation with minimal effect on colour perception. The clear lenses transmit visible light while blocking harmful ultraviolet radiation.
Mechanical strength F and T
The F symbol confirms resistance to impact from particles with a mass of 0.86 g travelling at 45 m/s. The T marking guarantees that the protective properties are maintained at temperatures from -5°C to +55°C.
Fit-over design

The European standard EN 166 sets out the requirements for safety glasses used in the workplace. Certification to this standard confirms that the product has passed impact and optical tests and provides an appropriate level of protection against mechanical hazards and radiation.
Use and care
Adjusting the fit
The adjustable temples should be set so that the glasses sit securely without putting excessive pressure on the sides of the head. The rubberised tips prevent the glasses from slipping when the head is tilted. If prescription glasses are worn underneath, make sure they do not touch the protective lenses.
Cleaning the lenses
Polycarbonate lenses should be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water or a dedicated spectacle cleaning solution. Avoid wiping them dry, as this can cause scratches. Do not use organic solvents, acetone or abrasive agents.
Storage
Store the glasses in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. The cord attachment holes allow the glasses to be hung around the neck during short breaks at work, preventing loss or damage.
Replacing safety glasses
The glasses should be replaced if the lenses become scratched in a way that affects the quality of vision, if cracks appear in the frame or lenses, or after a heavy impact that may have weakened the structure of the material. Regular inspection of their condition ensures effective eye protection.
