Yato YT-73765 Grey Safety Glasses with Strap
Safety glasses with polycarbonate lenses and interchangeable temples, certified to EN 166 and EN 172. This model with a grey 5-3.1 UV filter protects against sun glare and flying solid particles.
Technical features of the Yato safety glasses
Class F impact resistance
Certified to withstand the impact of a 0.86 g steel ball travelling at 45 m/s. This rating means protection against flying debris generated when working with hand tools, grinding or cutting materials. Class F is the standard level of protection in industrial conditions.
Optical class 1 – no image distortion
The highest lens quality category under EN 166. It indicates minimal chromatic and geometric aberration, allowing the glasses to be worn continuously without eye strain. Class 1 lenses are intended for prolonged work requiring precision.
5-3.1 UV filter for working in sunlight
Grey lenses with a 5-3.1 category filter reduce sun glare while maintaining natural colour perception. The marking specifies the degree of visible light transmission and the effectiveness of UV blocking. Intended for outdoor use in strong sunlight.
Interchangeable temple and strap system

EN 166 – the basic safety eyewear standard
Specifies the design, optical and mechanical requirements for industrial eyewear. It covers impact resistance tests, stability at various temperatures and material quality. EN 166 certification is mandatory for Category II personal protective equipment.
EN 172 – specification for solar filters
The standard defines the parameters of lenses with UV protection and glare reduction. The 5-3.1 marking indicates a solar filter without special requirements for recognising signal colours. Used in eyewear intended for outdoor work where identification of warning colours is not required.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, check the lenses for scratches and make sure the temples or strap are correctly fitted. Polycarbonate lenses should be cleaned with a soft microfibre cloth – avoid abrasive materials that can damage the anti-reflective coating.
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources above 60°C. Polycarbonate loses its mechanical properties when exposed to high temperatures for prolonged periods. With intensive use, periodic lens replacement is recommended – deep scratches lower the optical class and can cause eye strain.
Replacing the temples with the strap: detach the temples by removing them from the mount in the frame, then attach the strap to the same fixing points. The system requires no tools. The strap length is adjusted with a slider at the back of the head.
