YATO YT-75220 Dual-Blade Trapezoid and Hook Utility Knife with SK5 Blades
A utility knife with two blade types — trapezoid and hook — designed for installation, warehouse and finishing work. The aluminium-zinc alloy body with ABS components ensures a durable build, and the lockable compartment in the handle holds six spare blades in total.
Knife features
Dual blade system
The knife is fitted with both a trapezoid and a hook blade. The trapezoid blade is used for precise straight cutting of flat materials, while the hook blade allows cutting from the inside — for example through packaging tape and film — without the risk of damaging the contents. One tool therefore replaces two specialist knives.
SK5 steel blades
SK5 is a high-hardness carbon tool steel, used for utility knife blades because of its resistance to blunting and good sharpening properties. The blade dimensions of 61 × 19 × 0.6 mm match the common trapezoid standard, making replacements easy to source.
Aluminium-zinc body with ABS
The body is made from an aluminium and zinc alloy with ABS plastic components, combining low weight with resistance to mechanical deformation. The ergonomic handle profile improves control when guiding the tool during longer periods of work. The body material does not corrode in warehouse conditions.
Spare blade compartment
The lockable compartment built into the handle holds three trapezoid blades and three hook blades. Storing spare blades directly in the tool removes the need to stop work to look for replacements and reduces the risk of losing blades.

Trapezoid blade vs hook blade — the difference in use
The trapezoid (standard) blade is designed for cutting flat materials and harder surfaces from the outside. The hook blade has a curved tip that slides under the material and cuts it from below — this minimises the risk of cutting through the contents of a package or damaging the surface beneath the material being cut. Choosing the right blade depends on the type of material and the level of cutting precision required.
