Three-layer softshell work jacket with a breathable membrane, designed for work in changing weather conditions and for outdoor activities. It combines 8000 mm water resistance with 3000 MVP breathability.
An abrasion-resistant outer polyester layer, a breathable middle membrane and an inner layer for thermal comfort. A fabric weight of 320 g/m² provides wind protection while maintaining the fabric's flexibility.
A hydrostatic head of 8000 mm provides protection against moderate rain and drizzle. The fabric withstands water pressure equivalent to rainfall of 8-10 mm/h for around 2-3 hours. This is not a jacket for heavy rainfall.
An MVP (Moisture Vapour Permeability) rating of 3000 g/m²/24h indicates moderate water vapour permeability. The membrane wicks moisture away during moderate physical exertion, preventing the body from overheating.
The elastane content makes the fabric stretch in four directions. The jacket follows the body's movements and does not restrict you when working in a bent position or raising your arms.

A softshell offers higher breathability, greater flexibility and more comfortable wear than rigid hardshell membrane jackets. The drawback is lower water resistance – a softshell performs well in drizzle and short showers, but it will not replace a membrane jacket in hours-long rain. A fabric weight of 320 g/m² also provides better thermal insulation than thin hardshell jackets.
Softshell jackets require regular care to maintain their membrane performance. Wash at no more than 30°C without fabric softener, which clogs the membrane pores. Dry flat, without using a tumble dryer. After a dozen or so washes, reactivate the water-repellent finish by ironing through a cotton cloth at up to 110°C or by applying a reproofing spray.
Water-resistant zips should be lubricated periodically with a dedicated silicone lubricant or beeswax. This prevents the slider from sticking and water from penetrating through the zip teeth. Regular cleaning of lint and dirt from the hook-and-loop fastenings extends their service life.
Size XL corresponds to a chest measurement of 112-116 cm and a sleeve length of 66-68 cm (measured from the neck over the shoulder to the wrist). A softshell jacket should be loose enough to allow a fleece or a thin insulating layer to be worn underneath. Check your freedom of movement – raise your arms and bend forward – the fabric should not stretch excessively at the elbows and underarms.
