An LED floodlight with SMD technology and an integrated PIR motion sensor, designed for outdoor and indoor lighting. The YT-818271 combines automatic control with lighting parameters suited to residential, utility and industrial premises.
SMD (Surface-Mount Device) LEDs produce a luminous flux of 1900 lumens at a power draw of 20W, which equates to an efficacy of 95 lm/W. The 6500K colour temperature corresponds to cool white, delivering good colour rendering and contrast for surveillance applications. The stated 30,000-hour lifespan represents around 10 years of operation at 8 hours per day.
The passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects changes in temperature within a 120° detection field and a 10m range (±2m tolerance). Sensitivity adjustment allows the trigger threshold to be matched to the size of the object, while the timer sets how long the light stays on after motion is detected – typically from a dozen or so seconds to a few minutes.
The IP54 rating defines protection against dust (first digit 5 – limited protection against dust) and against water splashes from any direction (second digit 4). The floodlight is suitable for outdoor installation under a canopy or in locations exposed to rainfall, but not for full immersion or direct high-pressure water jets.
The aluminium housing dissipates heat from the LED array, which supports the stability of the light output and the longevity of the LEDs. The glass lens protects the LED module from mechanical damage. The design allows wall mounting using a bracket with an adjustable tilt angle.

The floodlight requires connection to a 230V AC mains supply. Installation should be carried out in accordance with the applicable electrical installation standards and with appropriate safety precautions. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended. The device must be mounted in a way that prevents direct contact with water.
The motion sensor has controls for adjusting the light-on time (TIME), detection sensitivity (SENS) and detection range. The light-on time determines how long the floodlight remains on after the last motion is detected. Sensitivity affects the distance and size of object required for activation. The optimum settings depend on the specific installation location and the user's requirements.
A PIR sensor works best when an object moves across its field of view rather than directly towards the sensor. Avoid mounting in locations where the sensor is exposed to direct sunlight, near heat sources (e.g. fans, air conditioning units) or within range of moving objects (trees, flags) that could cause false triggers.
