A corded drill driver with a 13 mm chuck, designed for drilling into wood and metal and for driving screws. Mains power removes the need to charge batteries, giving continuous operation at constant power.
First gear (0-400 rpm) gives you control when driving screws and on jobs that call for lower speeds. Second gear (0-1450 rpm) allows fast drilling in wood and metal. Switching between gears lets you match the tool to the task in hand.
23 clutch settings plus a dedicated drilling mode allow precise adjustment of the screw tightening force. The clutch prevents damage to the material and to screw heads by automatically disengaging the drive once the set torque is reached.
The 13 mm chuck accepts drill bits with shanks up to 13 mm as well as screwdriver bits. Its keyless design allows bits to be changed without a chuck key, which speeds up work when accessories are swapped frequently.
The 300 W motor runs on a 230 V mains supply, delivering consistent performance without the power drop typical of cordless tools. The 4-metre cable extends your working range without the need for extension leads in most workshop applications.

Using a metal gearbox instead of a plastic one increases the durability of the drive mechanism, particularly during prolonged work under heavy load. Bearings reduce friction and wear on the moving parts, which translates into a longer tool life.
Before starting work, check that the drill bit or screwdriver bit is seated correctly in the chuck by trying to pull it out by hand. When driving screws, start with a lower clutch setting and increase it gradually until the screw reaches the required depth without damaging the material.
Gears should only be changed with the motor switched off. First gear is used for screwdriving and for work that requires greater torque at lower speeds; second gear is for drilling, where rotational speed is the priority.
The 4-metre power cable should be unwound before use to prevent a coiled lead from overheating during prolonged operation. After finishing work, remove chips and dust from the ventilation openings with compressed air.
For drilling wood, use twist drill bits with a centring point. For metal, use HSS bits, starting with smaller diameters when making holes larger than 8 mm. Screwdriver bits should match the type of screw head, with their length suited to the driving depth.
