YATO YT-828135 4" 18V Cordless Chainsaw
A compact cordless chainsaw with a 4-inch (100 mm) guide bar, designed for pruning branches, cutting firewood and roofing work. Supplied with a 2 Ah Li-Ion battery and charger.
Technical features
4-inch guide bar and 26-link chain
The 100 mm guide bar provides an optimal cutting reach for pruning and roofing work. The chain, with a 7.62 mm (0.3") pitch and 26 links, ensures stable tracking and precise cutting in both green and dry wood.
Chain speed of 4.8 m/s
A maximum chain speed at 3,200 rpm translates into efficient cutting of branches up to 10 cm in diameter. This parameter determines the tool's performance when working in the crowns of trees and ornamental shrubs.
Li-Ion 2 Ah battery (36 Wh)
The 2000 mAh lithium-ion cell provides around 30-40 minutes of continuous operation, depending on the hardness of the material. Charging takes 1 hour, which allows you to quickly resume work using a second battery.
Weight of 1.1 kg with battery
The low overall weight reduces fatigue when working overhead and in hard-to-reach places. The compact design makes it easier to manoeuvre in dense crowns and when cutting structural elements.

Use and maintenance
Chain tensioning
The chainsaw does not have a quick tensioning system – adjustment is carried out using a screw. The chain should be tensioned when cold, before starting work. A correctly tensioned chain should lift slightly away from the guide bar when pulled in the middle, but must not come off completely.
Chain lubrication
The absence of automatic lubrication requires manual application of chain oil before each use. Use a dedicated chainsaw chain oil – engine oils may not provide adequate adhesion and can lead to accelerated wear.
Noise and vibration levels
A sound pressure level of 78 dB(A) allows work without hearing protection in short sessions, but ear defenders are recommended for longer use. A vibration level of 3.425 m/s² is within the norm for hand tools – breaks every 15-20 minutes minimise the risk of hand-arm vibration syndrome.
Battery compatibility
The 18V battery belongs to the YATO platform – check the system marking before purchasing additional batteries. A second battery ensures continuous operation on larger pruning and cutting projects.
