YATO YT-828137 Cordless Chainsaw 12" 18V with 4Ah Battery and Charger
Cordless chainsaw with a 12-inch (305 mm) guide bar, powered by an 18V Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. The tool features a tool-free quick chain tensioning system and a dual safety brake.

12-inch guide bar with 45-link chain
The 305 mm guide bar strikes a balance between manoeuvrability and cutting area. The AP-12-45-509P chain, with a 3/8" (9.525 mm) pitch and 45 links of 0.050" (1.27 mm) thickness, works with a 6-tooth drive sprocket. These parameters determine compatibility with replacement accessories.
18V 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery included
Lithium-ion cells with a capacity of 4000 mAh (72 Wh) deliver a stable operating voltage throughout the discharge cycle. Charging time is 2 hours with the supplied charger. The battery features a charge level indicator and is compatible with the YATO 18V system.
Quick chain tensioning system
The tool-free chain tensioning mechanism allows on-the-spot adjustment during use. This removes the need to carry spanners and shortens the time needed to get the tool ready for work. A sight glass allows the oil level in the 210 ml tank to be checked.
Dual safety brake
The system consists of a mechanical chain brake activated by the hand guard and an inertia brake that responds to sudden movement. Both mechanisms stop the chain in a fraction of a second, minimising the risk of injury from kickback or loss of control.

This value is the distance between three consecutive chain rivets divided by two. A 3/8" pitch is the standard for mid-power chainsaws, offering a compromise between cutting speed and smooth operation. When choosing a replacement chain (e.g. YT-849495), the pitch must be identical.
Drive link thickness 0.050" (1.27 mm)
This parameter specifies the thickness of the lower part of the link, which runs in the guide bar groove. It must match the width of the guide bar groove. A mismatch prevents correct operation and leads to jamming or the chain coming off.
Battery energy 72 Wh
The value in watt-hours (Wh) is obtained by multiplying the voltage (18V) by the capacity (4Ah). It defines the actual amount of energy available to do work. When comparing the performance of different batteries, compare Wh values rather than capacity in mAh alone.
