Checking battery compatibility
Before buying additional batteries, make sure they carry the YATO 18V system marking. Batteries from other voltage systems or manufacturers will not fit the gun mechanically. Battery capacity affects run time – a 6.0Ah battery gives three times the inflation time of the standard 2.0Ah unit supplied in the kit.
Use and maintenance
Fully charge the battery before first use, following the charger instructions. While inflating, check the pressure with a gauge to avoid over-inflation. After use, clean dust and dirt off the gun, especially around the motor vents.
Li-ion batteries should be stored at room temperature with a charge level of around 40–60% during longer periods without use. Avoiding complete discharge and overheating extends battery life. Unplug the charger from the mains once charging is complete.
Regular checks on the condition of the inflation nozzles and seals keep the connection to the valves airtight. Replacing damaged parts prevents air loss during inflation and shortens filling time.
