Yato YT-82922 18V Cordless Dual Action Polisher
A cordless polisher with a dual action system, designed for polishing and waxing vehicle bodywork and other large surfaces. The machine uses an orbital motion combined with pad rotation, which eliminates the risk of holograms forming in the paintwork.

254 mm polishing pad for large surfaces
A pad diameter of 254 mm (approximately 10 inches) allows efficient work on large flat surfaces such as the bonnet, roof or wings. The larger working area reduces the time needed to polish a car or boat from start to finish.
6 mm orbit for all-round use
A 6 mm orbit strikes a balance between cutting power and paint safety. This parameter defines the amplitude of the pad's movement – 6 mm is enough to remove dull patches effectively and to apply wax, while keeping the process under control.
Cordless 18V battery power

This product is sold as body only – the set contains the polisher with bonnets, but no battery or charger. A battery and charger from the Yato 18V range must be purchased separately, or existing items from this tool platform can be used.

Using and maintaining the polisher
Before starting work, fit the appropriate polishing bonnet to the pad – a foam bonnet for polishing compounds or a lambswool bonnet for wax. The surface to be polished must be cleaned of dirt and dried. Apply the polishing compound or wax directly to the pad, or spread it in small dots across the surface.
During use, move the polisher in slow cross-hatch passes without applying excessive pressure. The dual action system does the work itself – pressing the machine against the surface slows the movement and reduces efficiency. After use, clean the polishing bonnets of compound residue or replace them with new ones.
Remove the battery from the tool after use. The polisher requires periodic cleaning to remove polishing dust, particularly around the motor vents. Polishing bonnets can be hand-washed in lukewarm water with a mild detergent and then left to dry in a well-ventilated place.
Choosing battery capacity
A 2Ah battery is enough for polishing individual panels or short sessions. A 3–4Ah battery allows a whole car to be polished. A 6Ah battery gives the longest runtime, suitable for larger vehicles or continuous work without charging breaks.
