150mm hook and loop sanding discs supplied in a pack of 50, designed for orbital and random orbital sanders. Aluminium oxide abrasive with P120 grit for sanding wood, metal, paint and lacquer.
The P120 grade denotes a medium grain size, suitable for removing coats of paint, levelling wood surfaces and preparing metal for painting. It offers a balance between working speed and the quality of the surface finish.
The hook and loop attachment allows discs to be changed in seconds without tools. The hook and loop backing holds the disc securely during use and allows the same disc to be refitted repeatedly, reducing downtime.
A semi-open coat has wider spacing between the abrasive grains than a closed coat. This design prevents the disc from clogging with dust and material particles, extending the working life of the abrasive when sanding soft and resinous materials.
The six-hole perforation works with the dust extraction system in the sander. Effective dust removal improves visibility of the working surface, extends disc life and improves working conditions by reducing airborne contaminants.

The YT-834585 sanding discs are compatible with YATO orbital and random orbital sanders, in particular the YT-09739 and YT-09740 models. Before purchase, check the sander's backing pad diameter (150 mm) and the dust hole pattern. The hook and loop fixing system is standard on most sanders of this class.
Aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) is the primary abrasive grain material in the YATO YT-834585 discs. Aluminium oxide has a hardness of around 9 on the Mohs scale, making it effective for working wood as well as non-ferrous metals and steel. The grains are durable and self-sharpen during use through fracturing, which maintains their cutting ability for longer.
The epoxy resin bond provides a flexible connection between the grains and the paper backing. Epoxy resin resists the temperatures generated during sanding as well as moisture, allowing the discs to be used in a range of working conditions. A C-weight backing denotes paper of medium grammage (around 100-120 g/m²), offering a compromise between flexibility and strength.
Before fitting a disc, make sure the sander's hook and loop pad is clean and free from contamination. Residues of old adhesive or dust can weaken the disc's grip. During use, apply moderate pressure – excessive pressure shortens disc life and can overheat the working surface.
Store sanding discs in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Moisture can weaken the bond and reduce abrasive effectiveness. Worn discs should be replaced when the grains are visibly smoothed or when a drop in sanding performance becomes noticeable. When working with dust-generating materials, respiratory protection and safety glasses are recommended.
